Who can Join?

Talented musicians are encouraged to audition for one of our many ensembles.​   The minimum standard is outstanding achievement on level 6 NYSSMA for youth,  and for Adults we look for Advanced, Expert, Semi-pro and Professional level performers. 
​ Not a performer, but love music?  There are many ways you can help us achieve our mission of artistic excellence. We need people to help us administrate our events and raise funds for operations. 

Rehearsals

Chamber Ensembles will rehearse at various times and locations convenient to ensemble members, including before or after orchestra rehearsals. 

Ensemble membership

The Nassau Philharmonia's ensembles draw from a variety of talent pools, including:

Talented Amateurs, Music Educators, Professors, Professional Musicians, Undergraduate and Graduate / Doctoral Students, Retirees and Youth.

Ensembles are categorized by ability and talent,  not age.
