Concerto Competition:
 
This Competition is open to all members of the Nassau Philharmonia in good standing- Entrants must be currently performing in at least one of the ensembles sponsored by the Nassau Philharmonia.

​ We are currently holding auditions for concertos in our 2016 season. 
 
Audition Requirements:
Instrumentalists:   A fast and Slow movement from a concerto or other work for soloist with orchestra.
  
Accompanists must be provided by entrants for the audition, and copies of the sheet music or score should be provided to the Jury.

​Pieces selected for the competition should be reasonably performable to a satisfactory artistic level by a small orchestra.  Pieces requiring large orchestrations will not be accepted unless the entrant is able to secure the necessary additional musicians; however, it may be possible for the entrant to collaborate with the music director and produce a condensed orchestration of the piece in question.
