Classical / Contemporary  Instrumental Audition Requirements:

A solo selection from a Concerto, Chamber work, or Etude demonstrating technical virtuosity

A solo  selection from a Concerto, Chamber work, or Etude demonstrating lyrical and expressive musicality

An Orchestral Excerpt of your choice  -- if your instrument is not a standard instrument in the orchestra a chamber or small ensemble work can be substituted.

Sight reading (to be provided at the audition).

Accompanists or play along CDs are optional.
 
Wind Players: If you can transpose at sight, please be prepared to demonstrate your skills!  Please also let us know if you have instruments in different keys and ranges in your possession. (A clarinets, Eb or Bass Clarinet, Piccolo / Alto Flutes, English Horns, C or D or Piccolo trumpets, etc.)
 
If possible bring extra copies of the sheet music you are performing at the audition.

Other:
 
 If you know Baroque ornamentation and improvisation, please let us know and please demonstrate.
